The State of California has lifted the 25% usage reduction order. However, there are still other requirements that must be met by all cities. It is yet to be determined what these requirements will mean for Brea.
Phase 2 requirements remain in effect. This allows for outdoor irrigation only on Mondays and/or Thursdays. Never irrigate between 10 am and 4 pm or allow runoff onto hard surfaces. The water rates already approved by the City Council are effective July 1, 2016. Information regarding these rates is included in the next water bill.
As more detail is received from the State Water Resources Control Board, it will be shared as to its effect on Brea customers.
