41st Annual Made in California Juried Exhibition
Call for Submissions: Deadline Friday, Feb. 6 2026
The Brea Gallery is currently taking art submissions for the 41st Annual Made in California Juried Exhibition, highlighting the talent and diversity of the Golden State, and awarding over $3,500 in prizes. This call is open to all California artists, ages 18 and older, working in any medium and at any skill level. There are no restrictions to theme and subject matter for this exhibition. Jurying for this year's Made in California will be comprised of gallery staff, as well as California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) College of the Arts Director Jennifer Frias, Co-Founder and Curator of Thinkspace Projects Andrew Hosner, and our 2025 MICA Solo Show Artist Amy Yoshitsu.
Submission Types
- Juried Submission: Submit 1-10 pieces for consideration to Made in California at $20 per entry.
- Solo Show Submission: Submit 5-10 pieces with an accompanying Artist Statement for consideration of a Solo Show running concurrent to Made in California for a flat rate of $80. Artists & artworks not selected for the Solo Show opportunity will be pooled into the jurying process for the greater Made in California exhibition (your work gets reviewed twice!). We recommend this submission type for anyone submitting 5 works and more as a cost-effective option.
- Gallery Members & Brea Residents: Submit 1 work for consideration to Made in California for free! Please see our Membership page to become a Gallery Member and to see the other year-round benefits! Please note all submissions are checked and verified for legitimacy, and will be disqualified if not a Member or Brea resident applying in this category.
If you've been looking for a way to work with us, this call is the best chance! All submissions, regardless if they are accepted for the exhibition or not, will be saved and used for reference in the curatorial process for other in-house exhibitions and opportunities. We hope to see your submission soon!
