Starting July 1, residents will begin to dispose of all organic waste (food waste and green waste) in the yard waste cart (now referred to as organics cart). These updates to the City’s recycling program are required per Senate Bill 1383 (SB 1383). All residents must have trash, recycle, and organics carts.
Friendly cart reminders:
⚫Trash materials are disposed in the black/grey colored cart.
🔵Recyclable materials are disposed in the dark green OR blue-lid cart.
🟢Organic materials (such as yard waste) are disposed in the brown OR green-lid cart.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have the original (current) colored carts, continue to use those as you have been. Those carts will eventually be replaced by the 2036 date.
