The Orange County Mosquito and Vector Control District has confirmed mosquito samples infected with West Nile Virus (WNV) in the City of Brea. The surveillance traps were set in an area near the cross streets of State College Blvd. and Lambert Rd. It's a good reminder to check for standing water to reduce the mosquito population.
Residents can take precautions by wearing mosquito repellent when mosquitoes are most active (dawn or dusk).
