Mosquito Control Tips & Tricks from OC Vector
Are you tired of getting bitten by mosquitoes while enjoying a nice walk or relaxing on your porch with a cup of coffee? If so, you'll want to know some tips and tricks to keep these pesky insects out of your life.
One type of mosquito you should be aware of is the Aedes mosquito, also known as the ankle biter. These black and white striped mosquitoes are known for biting during the daytime and can be found in every city in Orange County. While the Orange County Mosquito and Vector Control District (OCMVCD) conducts wide area treatments, smaller sources of water around your patio, yard, or indoor spaces can also attract mosquitoes. These insects only need a small amount of water to complete their life cycle, so it's important for every resident to take an active role in mosquito control.
