Stay Safe During Coyote Mating Season

In the spring, you may see an increase in coyote activity due to coyote mating season. Male coyotes can become more aggressive and pose a threat to your dogs and/or small pets. Please bring in your pets and do not leave them alone at night. As a reminder, if you experience a coyote attack or threat to a human, call 9-1-1 immediately.

For more tips to deter coyotes year-round, and information on reporting coyote sighting and encounters, please visit cityofbrea.gov/coyotes.
