On view February 9 - April 5, 2019,  this ambitious exhibition invited visitors to experience art in a whole new, profound way through the exploration of dynamic, large-scale installation pieces. As a handful of innovative artists took over the gallery and transformed it into a series of imaginative environments, viewers were astounded and inspired by these immersive works of art.

On view from May 4 to June 28, 2019, this annual juried exhibit continued to explore creative movements happening throughout California by featuring artists working in a huge array of mediums and styles. Selected by a panel, including gallery director Heather Bowling, curatorial staff, and 2019's guest juror Yevgeniya Mikhailik, this exhibit has continued to be a diverse cross-section of creativity from all over the state. A solo show featuring Zara Monet Feeney accompanied the exhibit.

Colored Pencil Society of America

On view from July 31 to September 13, 2019, the 27th iteration of this annual international exhibition returned to the Brea Gallery to once more reveal the astonishing possibilities of colored pencil. Juried by Jean Stern, Executive Director of the Irvine Museum Collection at UCI, this impressive selection of 116 works of art was filled with such depth, value, and saturated color that it surely exceeded all expectations of this medium.

51st Watercolor West International Juried Exhibition

On view from October 12 - December 15, 2019, Watercolor West presented a bold collection of stunning transparent watercolors juried by Keiko Tanabe. Each year, this show has featured over one hundred captivating paintings from all over the world, highlighting the potential of this challenging medium.
